The restaurant is on Elizabeth Street. Peasant serves comfort Italian food. Prices are a bit pricey. The starters and main courses are great. I ordered the special starter, which was the rabbit livers over creamy polenta and wild mushrooms. The livers were a bit on the dry side but good. For the main course, I got the Osso Buco served with barley. The dessert was not up to par with the savory dishes. I ordered the peach tart but was served the pear tart. Apparently, the dessert menu had a typo. In any case, it was huge! It was enough to feed three people. The tart was also served with a scoop of hazelnut ice cream.
jeanniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05709028639412133780noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8759432398680357018.post-256960017443144602008-10-19T23:52:00.002-04:002008-10-19T23:54:21.067-04:00October 19, 2008An eclectic collection of pictures today.
