Yesterday was Martin Luther King Day and in observance of an important man in our American history, our office closed for the day. I was home, which meant I did not take any pictures. The day after MLK day is apparently garbage day as you can see from the photos I had taken today.
I was walking down to Sunrise Market and along the way down Broadway and then along Houston and then down West Broadway, the sidewalks were strewn with black garbage bags stuffed with people's trash. People were also still throwing out Christmas trees. It was just amazing to see the amount of garbage people can generate.
If you want to take a closer gander of the trash that was thrown out, check out the photo album.
