Thomas wanted to explore a part of Jersey CIty that he saw on the New Jersey Lightrail map.  There is a park called LIncoln Square Park.  So we took the Lightrail to West Side Avenue and walked about 10 minutes to the park.  There was an outdoor barbque party going on when we got there.  We kept on walking towards the man-made pond.  Then we continued to walk, crossing a bridge to the other side to more park land.  There was a lake where some people were fishing.  The park was the prettiest park we've been to but it was nice to get out and explore.

Another hot day although not as humid. Today was also the gay pride parade. I didn't get a chance to check it out. It would have been nice to have took some flamboyant pictures. Instead, I only have two pictures of snails that were taking their evening sluggish crawl across the stone paving to the house. It rained heavily with thunderstorms today.

They're getting big so fast! We've also had some casualties. I have found a couple of crushed snail shells. I guess they didn't see them.

The morning started off with some rain and then it was hot and humid during the day. In the evening (around 5:30pm) the clouds were starting to gather and the skies looking dangerously gray. It rained and from the looks of it, it was a pretty big rain storm. Luckily, I was underground riding the "E" train home. When I got home, birds were looking for food and the snails and slugs were crawling about. Check out the pictures and videos, especially of the snails. They're not as slow as you think...

Videos of birds after a serious rain fall when all the creepy crawly come out...

Here are some videos of some snails in action. That's right ACTION.

Today was another wet and rainy day in NYC. Umbrellas abound and snails comin' out.

I hope I didn't blind the snails with my flash.

The day was gorgeous, the evening apparently had a bit of rain. We have snails in our front yard and they would come out at night especially after it rains. I took these pictures of the snails as I was stepping up to the front door. I think these are the babies I had taken the photos of last year.
