Another hot day although not as humid. Today was also the gay pride parade. I didn't get a chance to check it out. It would have been nice to have took some flamboyant pictures. Instead, I only have two pictures of snails that were taking their evening sluggish crawl across the stone paving to the house. It rained heavily with thunderstorms today.
They're getting big so fast! We've also had some casualties. I have found a couple of crushed snail shells. I guess they didn't see them.

It was a hot and humid day. I thought I was wearing appropriate summer clothes but I managed to sweat in what i was wearing, a white cotton linen dress. But it was a lot better than being in a light blue polyester mascot costume like this guy promoting Lisa Kudrow's new television series called, Kabluey. For the official website, click here.
Not an exciting day but I managed to take two pictures.
This guy was playing some odd guitar like instrument. I like that I took the picture through this truck.
This girl is brave to be dating a guy who is not very tall and looks like he is thinner than her.
Interesting collection of photos from Wednesday. In fact, after some B/W pictures, I took some candid shots with my camera slightly covered by my jacket. Check it out. And then I took pictures of people as they boarded the bus and paid their fare.
I started a new job recently but still staying in the Soho area. I went to my favorite Japanese market for lunch. On the way to and back to the office I took pictures of people; shooting from the hip.
This is one of my favorite shots.
Headed out to Jersey City for dinner and dessert with my Golden Bear. I was traveling during rush hour and captured the rush hour crowd.
I was waiting for my class to start. I sat nearby a French restaurant and there were a few people sitting outside with their dogs and talking with one another. It was a warm day and people were in their casual clothes and sandals (exposing toes) so I took pictures of their pets and their feet.
Across from me was a Mini Coup, and inside the windshield, I noticed this little green thing. It was a toy frog - very cute. It smiled at me.
I got my $600 dollars from the Feds today! The check actually says, "2008 Economic Stimulus Payment". Does the government honestly think this is going to bolster the economy? I guess we'll wait and see what gets reported.
My cousin got married today so this evening we went to their wedding banquet. It was raining all night. Luckily, the banquet was indoors but getting home was not easy. There was traffic due to flooding on the highway and when we decided to take an alternate route, we hit another traffic caused by a car accident. I took some pictures of the accident as we tried to make our way past the accident.
Memorial Day may mark the first day of summer in the United States, but today's hot and humid weather marked the first day on summer in New York City!
We had lunch at Stand, a burger joint near Union Square. You'll see some pictures of the restaurant and colorful glass.
We spent the day in Central Park, rowing the boat in the lake. The park is making some cosmetic changes to the lake surroundings. They're adding more flowering plants and lush vegetation. They're also expanding the lake too.
Today was a chock full of picture taking. Today's collection was not centered around one theme. I took a picture of a Pilsbury doughboy in a convertible. I thought it was a giant doll until he waved at me. The collection also includes flowers, a penthouse, and a set for a production called "The Rebound". It's a movie featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones. Click here for more information.
Memorial Day is the mark of the beginning of summer! I was in the city to meet a friend for brunch and then head over to a nail salon for a manicure for me and a pedicure for her. Afterwards, I walked up to Union Square for a little light shopping. The Market was open and people wandering about looking at the fresh produce. Strawberries were being sold at various stalls. They looked really tasty! Check out the slide show for some juicy strawberries and other sites of the Union Square Green Market.
Aren't those dachshund puppies so cute!?
We went to the Museum of Modern Art this evening. If you didn't already know, it's always free admission Friday evenings from 4pm to 8pm. We were going there to check out an exhibit but realized when we got there that the show was over so we just went around to look at the current exhibit and permanent collection. The thing I noticed is that MoMA is one of the few museums to let people take pictures of the collection. Everyone had their cameras and snapping pictures. Nobody used flash which is good for the art collection. Anyway, take a look at the what I saw today at MoMA.
